The Heat® Vane, with its low profile and quiet flight, is ideal for bowhunting and 3D archery and is NASP approved. It quickly became popular for indoor spots and crossbow bolts as well.
Its low profile provides more cable clearance, and the ultra-stiff material the Heat Vane is made of prevents vane flutter for a smooth, silent arrow rotation.
When using with a fixed-blade broadhead, we recommend a four fletch. The Heat Vane measures 2.5" (63.5mm) in length, 0.41" (10.4mm) in height, and weighs an average of 6.1 grains (395mg).
Like all Bohning vanes, the base of the Heat Vane is pre-primed for optimal adhesion.
Due to the ultra-stiff material, we recommend using an instant glue and/or a fletching jig with high adhesion force such as Bohning's Tower Jig or Multi-Fletcher.

Low profile, love them for hunting
I am a true fan of these vanes. the stiffness and lower profile of these vanes ensures a true and accurate arrow flight from your bow to the target.
Easy to work with and look clean
Since the Heat vanes have come out I used them for hunting where they stabilize the arrows with broadheads better than other vanes I’ve used. I then started using for 3D the next season where they are my go to vanes for 3D now as well.
Excellent hunting Vane!
Best hunting vane on the market in my opinion. Super stiff low profile steer broadheads very well and they are as quiet any vane I’ve ever shot.
Lower profile and size seem to be working great, had blazers but with new bow I was getting some contact on cables , too close for comfort.
They are great vanes, I depend on accuracy in my arrow flight when shooting 3D competitions and these give me the perfect arrow flights I need and expect.
