Air Vane

The Air Vane is designed for small diameter arrows shot at long distances and it has quickly become Bohning's #1 selling vane for Fita and Field Archery. We also recommend it for 3D when shooting with small diameter arrows. It's a great choice for compound and recurve shooters alike as its low profile minimizes contact with the arrow rest, and its small surface area reduces the effects of crosswind drift. The Air Vane measures 2" (50.8mm) in length, 0.3" (7.6mm) in height and weighs 4.5 grains (292mg). Like all Bohning vanes, the base of the Air Vane is pre-primed for optimal adhesion. A little history of the development of the Air Vane: In 2015 Bohning teamed up with world-class archers Pierre-Julien Deloche and Dominique Genet in the development of a new outdoor vane for longer distances and volatile weather conditions. Genet specifically wanted the same low-profile as the Ice Vane but with an X-Vane inspired tail as those are the two vanes he had obtained the best results with. During the summer of 2015, the prototype was created and sent to Genet and Deloche. They fletched the vanes at 2? to 3? angles, using them during practice and tournaments for the remainder of the outdoor season. The results being what everyone had hoped for, Bohning decided to add the Air Vane to its line of target vanes. Proudly manufactured at the Bohning Factory in Lake City, Michigan, United States.

    Consistent Results!

I use air vanes on my long range outdoor target and small diameter 3D arrows out to 60 yards for the most consistent groups! They are low-profile and provide reliable flight on my Gold Tip Pierce Tours, the best adhesion I have had so far and the tightest groups I have had for outdoor target competitions.

Great low-profile vane for long distances. Seeing better performance out past 40 and 50 yards compared to larger vanes.

    Fly Very Well

I have these on my VAP's, I used a decent off-set when I applied them. As expected they were very easy to apply even with the off-set. The groups I am shooting are very tight and consistent out to 50yds. Summed up, They are just as I had hoped for.

Long durability after the impact of arrows. They will not come off the arrow with the use of high-quality Bohning Blazer Bond glue. AIR Vanes will not be destroyed on the arrows in the tube during transport. They stick well helically.
They have a good flight in strong winds.
